Aiprosoft MP4 Converter 1.5

Aiprosoft MP4 Converter is a multi-format video converter. It can be used to convert pretty much all the most popular video formats into a variety of formats that use the MP4 container and other formats as well. Some of the supported output formats are MPEG-4, H.264, DivX, XviD, and MOV.

The converter has a nice interface which has a built-in video player that you can use to preview your videos before converting them, though the actual conversion won't be previewed. There is also a video editor that allows you to crop or trim your video.

This converter has excellent input format support. I tested it with AVI and MKV files and they both were opened just fine. I did try converting both formats using the H.264 HD conversion profile. The AVI file converted just fine and played smoothly. The MKV file also converted successfully, but when I played it on my default video player, I noticed that the video stuttered quite a lot. In other words, the playback wasn't as smooth as with the original file. This is to be expected sometimes with MKV files.

All in all, this is a very good converter with great format support and a nice interface. The fact that it didn't manage the conversion of my MKV file doesn't really mean anything. Maybe other files will be converted just fine. It is a matter of testing the app before purchasing.
